Noise problem with DCS DElius

I have a problem eith my DCS Delius DA converter that I cannot solve.
With a simple connection scheme, that is source (DVD 0r CD player) to Delius via Transparent Coaxial digital cable. The Delius is connected to a Mark Levinson 335 Amplifier via Balanced connects with XLR ends (about 12 feet long). The amp goes directly to German Physiks speakers.

The problem is that the Delius puts out a 'Digital Noise' fairly loud that can occur fro 15 minutes to 12 hours after turning the unit on. The noise will occur with the source playing or silent. the only way to turn the noise off is to mute the delius or turn it off. When turned on again or unmuted the noise will occur again at varying intervals.

At first DCS thought it was a bad unit and replaced it.
The second 'new unit did the same thing so they replaced the analog output board. The same problem recurred.
The dealer then loaned me his store unit, the same noise reccurs.

The amp does not seem to be the problem. With the Delius DA off I can leave the amp on for days connected to the speakers and the remain absolutely silent.

Is it possible the cables are bad or not right in this setup.

Incidentally, noise occurs in both speakers (channels).

Is it a grounding problem. I have tried grounding cheaters with no improvement.

Both the amp and the Delius are on their own dedicated 15 amp lines.

PLEASE help and advise.
