One of my best audio finds was a used Purcell for $1900 US to mate with my Wadia 27ix DAC.I agree with the benefits of the Purcell as stated on the DCS website, especially those of spaciousness & naturalness & bass.
I also used my Purcell with other DACs I was evaluating, including the MSB Platinum Plus & Chord DAC-64, and DAC section of Cary 306/200. I like the Purcell in the loop and would not consider removing it.
FYI: I find the Purcell ( and all digital ) benefits greatly from clean power and power cords. I am using the Virtual Dynamics Signature power cords throughout my system, and also 2 of the VD Nite-Cryo digital cables.
.. now I wish I knew someone local with a Delius or Elgar to compare my 27ix !
