Thanks for your comments!I think Sony has to tweek out their SACD players if they are going to get everyone to re-purchace their favorite recordings again (78-> LP-> stereo LP/.25" reel to reel tape-> CD-> SACD /cassette-> MD). The fact that so many people are satisfied with MP3 auido from computer speakers and walkmen doesn't bode well for SACD and everyone needing to jump on the bandwagon. The sell was much easier for CD. SACD has to be made to sound better because its not more convenient than CD and its much more expensive than CD or MP3.
I really hope one of the new formats makes it. The industry has to clean up the analog output stages to give those formats a chance. For the premium on these machines, there is ample budget.
