The DCS Delius and DCS Elgar are their DACs, while the Purcell is their 24/192 capable upsampler with lots of configuration options.I am hooked on my DCS Purcell + Wadia 27ix combo, and cannot imagine not using the Purcell anymore. In my system, it really makes the sound very spacious and large, and it makes things more "real".
http://www.dcsltd.co.uk/purcell.htmThe Purcell had the same effect with the MSB Platinum Plus, Chord DAC-64, and Cary 306/200 ( used as DAC-only ). All upsampling is not created equal. What the DCS offers in sonic improvement is much more than the typical Crystal 84XX chips used in the popular 24/96 DACs that surfaced 2 years ago 9 Bel Canto, MSB, Perp Tech ).
