What I was referring to was the 64 times oversampling that the dCS DAC and others do "all the time" regardless of the incoming sample rate. And THAT is not what is commonly called "upsampling" it is oversampling just like it was nearly 20 years ago.

So is oversampling "data rate conversion"? I don't think so.
