Re: UPSAMPLING or OVERSAMPLING ?

***Isn't oversampling when a converter converts a analog signal at a higher rate. Upsampling is converting the samplerate of a already sampled signal to a higher sample rate e.g. x2

Exactly right. That is how the words were originally used and intended. But later the CD players have appeared that used the word "over" where they should have used "up" and the confusion started.
