Andy,
I did the reverse. I have the MSB Plat. with 4X new card and recently switched to the DCS Delius/Purcel. There was not a dramatic change in the sound. I did however, use the filtering option on the Delius to smooth out the sound, which had been a source of discontent with the MSB. By that I mean- with the MSB I was listening to great sound but in an ice box. With the DCS I am listening to great sound but at slightly below room temperature. It's hard to explain but that sums it up. The ideal is to listen to great sound at room temp. My system is as follows; Quad ESL63/Gradient SW63, Dahlquist DQ-LP1(renewed and refurbished at Regnar), two Plinius SA 100 latest edition stereo amps bridged on the Quads, a pair of Pass Labs Aleph 2's on the subs, a Plinius CD-LAD preamp, DCS Delius/Purcell, and a CALAUDIO CL20 as transport, Original Sequerra FM1 tuner, and all Discovery IC and Cable.
