hi dreamer, according to lewis lipnick's infamous july 95' review, the Cello Audio Palette MIV (multiple input version, $20k at that time)is a very high quality 6-band line level equalizer. he goes on to say that the Cello system with the Palette "allows the musical intent and nusnces to come thru with much more honesty and clarity".
at the time i recall critcisms of the review as being "over the top" in enthusiasm. but the Palette is suppose to be a great sounding piece of gear. sorry but i don't know any more than what the review says on the design of the Palette.
whether it is "parmetric or causes phase distortion" i can't say.
it sounded like a possible transparent analog solution to ws's room correction challenge.
regards
mikel
