RE: dCS Verdi SDIF

I will look for you but the only upgrade discs I have seen here recently were for the Paganini. I have a vague memory that I gave my Elgar/Verdi/Purcell series discs to a guy in Brighton who had a used set of hardware 5 or 6 years ago. I also gave him some decent Firewire (IEEE1394)cables. Incidentally he tried for a some support for his Purcell ( I think it was) but dCS only offered him an upgrade to a Paganini. Nice if you could afford it.

So I will try tomorrow if I have time but I am afraid that you may be out of luck.

As for a reply from dCS remember the time difference between the Pacific Northwest and the UK. It is the middle of the night here right now , gone midnight. BTW I would leave contacting dCS until the week after next. Many firms here will already be closed or on skeleton staffing until the Christmas/New Year holidays are over.

Thanks I have found the downsampling on AES/EBU and S/Pdif ports on the pages that you kindly mentioned. However if you check the software history the v. 1.20 upgrade also requires a hardware upgrade to control board 2C12 or later and a hardware display board upgrade to 4A or later. So even If I have the discs if you have earlier versions of the boards it won't work. Those boards will not now be available I am sure as it is decade since the Classic Series was discontinued.
