Yes, I have come to the same conclusion by trial and error.
I would have been happy with downsampled 16/44 from SACDs but it requires software version 1.2 when the downsampling was added. Mine is V 1.13 that needs to be upgraded to 1.14 first then to V1.2 according to their website software doc.
However, if dCS is no longer offering CD firmware upgrades, then I am sunk...
It will just be one awesome CD transport until I get a Elgar Plus.
