The HDCD ADC has several anti-aliasing filters which are dynamically
selected during recording, dependent on the music signal's contents
at that instant.The info about which filter is used when is burried in that hidden
channel in the lsbs. Upon replay, the HDCD oversampling filter
is switched accordingly to match the transfer function of the
recording AA filter.This is a very specific case and does not quite belong
in a discussion of up/over/super/extra/...sampling.
