BTW, to answer the OP's question, I've now experimented over the past year and a half with upsampling all my PCM files to 24/192, but recently, I've gone back to just playing back at the original resolution, whether DSD (up to DSD256) or PCM (up to 24/352.8, although the DAC is capable of 32/384). I don't miss the upsampling at all.
Although many excellent DSD recordings have been issued, I wish DSD had never come to market. All it has done is split the hi-rez market, and, just numerically, there are WAY more excellent recordings which are PCM-based than there are comparably excellent recordings in DSD - just IMHO of course.
