I agree. As a matter of fact, if you sit far enough back from the orchestra or musical group, you may have the equivalent of fat mono. The concert-hall experience is one where we are immersed in a three-dimensional acoustic space. Multi-channel has the potential, I think, to simulate this experience. I know pin-point imaging is artificial with respect to a live performance. I still like and prefer it though.
