Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: hmmm

Having not heard this, I have no basis to proclaim it a steal for the money, or a rip-off. However, those that have -- like Michael Lavorgna of Audio Stream -- have marked this as one of the 3 best he's ever heard.

Chasing the last 10% of performance is always expensive and well past the point or diminishing returns for just about anything.

The answer to the question of what this will sell for, used, in 5 years depends on whether we're off the steep part of digital learning curve. For quite a while the pace of development has been such that yesterday's 4-figure products can be equalled or exceeded by today's 3-figure products. At some point, more expensive stuff is not going to sound "better," it's just going to sound "different," which some people will think is better and others won't. I personally think that's where we're at with respect to amplification.
