In my review of the AURALiC Vega Processor I indicted that I was using my P S Audio Lambda as my CD transport with excellent results. Well sad to say the Lambda developed a mechanical problem in the drive mechanism and is no longer in my system. I am using my Oppo 105D as my CD transport. It sounds fine but I wonder if I could get better sound with a dedicated transport for my CDs. Or if the Oppo is likely just good as a transport as a stand-alone unit. I was thinking specially of the PS Audio Memory player transport.
Any thoughts on the matter?
