Avoid large amounts of filtering and stay away from negative feedback and you are on your way to the best sound from any source, be it CD, SACD, vinyl or live music. Recognize how much "passive" components can degrade the sound and you will get even closer to that magical sound we are all after. It sounds like you are most of the way there!Dave
