Hola George. I know it is dificult to tell but how much better was the SCD-1(777ES) cd playback compared to the Musical Fidelity? Was it nearly as good as the Audio Note versus the SCD-1(777ES)?

I asked those question because most of the people who bought the SACD machines are entranced with the SACD software and it looks like most of them ,too, forget about their cd collection. If you have a killer CD or Transport/DAC combination and stop using the CD system because of the involving sound of the SACD disk, then, you are missing most of the music you own. I imagine that there are some inmates(like me) that would benefict because their CD system sound worst than the SACD CD playback and then, the new machine will serve both formats extremely well. On the other hand, why forget about their other gear if the cd sound is better.

It is hard for me to tell until I heard the 777ES this week. Anyway, I will leave my checkbook at home.
