RE: How many Audiophiles have Multiple Systems here ? ....................

Your speaker placement sounds like a fairly normal listening configuration. I discovered that I like more of a near-field speaker configuration. I moved my Thiels out into the room at least 4-feet from the walls and then I positioned them six-feet apart on their tweeters' axes. I sit about six-feet back from the speaker plane. My ears are a little less than seven feet from each speaker.

My little B&W PM1's are even closer. Each speaker is only three-feet from each ear and the speakers' centerlines are only 50-inches apart. I get an excellent soundstage from both pairs of speakers but the little PM1's probably have the most holographic soundstage. They also have a warmer sound quality with very good bass because they're so close. It's kind of like listening to headphones with a soundstage. ;-)
