Yes, Abe. In fact I was looking for an amp to match my earlier AG speakers and home auditioned a dozen SS amps of various flavours. I expected to like a Chass A one above the others, but after 18 months or so of testing a dozen amps, I chose the modest but excellent NAD M33 amp. As it was later chosen by Stereophile as their Amplification Component of the Year and Component of the Year and Editors' Choice 2020, I feel my decision is largely justified.Granted I could hear slightly better sound from electronics costing 3 to 4+ times as much, but I'd rather put my cash into first class speakers that offer truly exciting music - a far cry for the Musak / elevator music you mention later in this thread!
