Spoke to my techie geek friend that built my amps for me. He was an early adopter of the Soekris, and is using the .02%
Soren's claim is it is 28 bit sign magnitude. My friend says .01 is good for 20 bits since it is the most significant bit where precision is critical. He is using raw output off the single ended and says it is the best thing he has heard. He has had Twisted Pear Buffalo, TDA1541 single and double crown DIY with tube output stage and the uncommon Tent Labs PCM1704 DAC. He has some mumetal output transformers on the way since he is a transformer luver :-)
Myself I am using a Wright modified Bidat, he has heard this DAC many times and thinks the Soren DAC is better.
I have not had the mindset to wade through the DIYAudio threads, but there are a bunch of measurements posted there.
