Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

IME, it all makes a difference.

I used to have items from LC Audio (didn't get to try the Audiocom stuff) and witnessed what you noticed.

That said, my experience led me to understand that all else being equal, my musical enjoyment of digital playback substantially increased/increases when a sign magnitude/R-2R DAC is in control of things.

I based my currrent choice of DAC using 1704 chips on the basis of the output stage and power supply. This led me to select the Lite Audio DAC 83 over the Audio-GD Master 7 for precisely the reason you mention. But both are preferable to me, with either output stage design, over an equivalent design using a Sabre DAC *that I have heard thusfar*.

I'm open to change, but call it as I hear it.
