Charles, I hope that you live way out on the country without any nearby neighbours.
If you do live in a town or city then not having your own wi-fi isn't going to help much as your house will still be flooded with wi-fi signals from other networks. Even if they are at a lower level than a wi-fi network in your own house there is the cumulative radiation level to consider.
I just checked my own situation with an analyzer and as I sit here typing I am subject to the output of 27 other wifi networks as well as my own. Then, of course, there is radiation from all of the cell phone networks to account for.
