By experience, I presume you mean subjective experience. The problem here is that it can be difficult to isolate difference in sound character to the D/A converter's topology. There are so many other factors potentially affecting the subjective performance of a DAC box. Said another way, I know of no reliable 'laundry list' of technical attributes to shop for when selecting a new DAC. Your own ears, listening within your own system, is still the arbiter.

However, the above doesn't necessarily mean you won't frequently find a rough correlation (not a reliable one) between certain technologies and your personal subjective listening experience. Such a realization can help limit the many DAC choices for consideration, somewhat easing the shopping task.
