When you want a recording remastered you can even go back to the multitrack and remix. If you stick with the original mix you can use severe eq and add additional reverb to again greatly change the sound of the recording. Again unless you take this new remastering and create two different resolutions of that new master there is nothing to compare. Remember I am in no way saying you shouldn't buy Hi-Rez downloads and get great enjoyment out of them. That is your subjective experience and I have no problem with that
