Tbone, I wouldn't be too surprised if the store had screwed up. If you re-read my post, you'll see that while I initially attributed the poor sound to the cd player and speakers, I later realized that the venue probably had much to do with it, having performed some experiments of my own with different equipment in different rooms (and seeing drastically different outcomes!). So, I can easily accept that the Eclipse could be a good performer. I just haven't seen it yet.Andy
