The "alignment" in the Denon was not mechanical but rather electrical. One had to adjust some trim pots on the main circuit board after installation of the new part.

Are the units you mention auto-adjusting in this regard?

It is also often possible to replace parts and have a unit work without making adjustments, but perhaps not have optimum performance.

Of course, if you look at my original comment, I noted it is important to consult the service manual for the specific unit involved. That is the only way to be sure you've properly repaired a unit.
