I keep bringing up this problem because the level of awareness is still low (unlike pitch correction, which has somehow become readily known), because there will constantly be readers seeing the stated problem for the very first time.
If someone is made aware of what I think is an understated (in the audio community at large) yet profound problem, and it ends up saving him the grief in mis-diagnosis of the cause of his dissatisfaction and the subsequent upgrades that fail to ameliorate the underlying sonic ills, the demands for "giving it a rest" will be ignored. Sorry.
The audience here is constantly changing, and you should realize that.
