Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

windows/mac

I agree with not using Windows any more or Mac for that matter since it is also a closed system.
Interestingly the recommended NAS devices for the Linn system are Linux based, the PDA's that are recommended are Linux based.
Currently I am using my Novel OpenSuse 11 box to write this message. The good thing about Linux is that it is open source. OpenSuse has a number of features that some of the other Linux systems do not, mainly its Banshee project(media player) and its Mono project(which is an open source multi platform application development tool) with, so far the best integration with microsoft.
Anyway if you are thinking about linux you can download for free OpenSuse 11 at novell's web site. It is fairly easy to configure for duel booting and if you don't like it just wipe it off the disk.
here is the link for banshee
