Well, I like multi-channel audio and I am planning on having a passive multi-channel controller and so will have no external decoder. With such a good review this sound like a good player to buy but I have some DTS CDs and would like to do Dolby ProLogic processing on regular CDs some times. So looks like this player will not do all for me. But it decodes HDCD! Did you try any HDCDs?
Can you confirm that it has variable cross-over filter for bass management? This seems to be the first player I have read about that has it.
