If it is caused by a cheap or faulty potentiometer then you may only need be concerned if you own the same piece that JA tested. Your sample may or may not exhibit the same issue.
Is 0.6dB difference audible? I would suspect not on much programme material. You also need to take account of the fact that the matching between the left and right drivers of your headphones is probably worse than that as is likely to be the matching between your left and right ears!
