Where student loans are the order of the day. I suspect it is somewhat different on the European continent, where tertiary education is largely free for locals and there's more opportunity for space. Certainly true of Holland, Germany and France, where I have friends. They also have more space and a better quality of life - and time for music.
But Merkel and others continue to push for the marketisation of everything so it may not be long before we're all at the bottom of the heap - with just a few at the top with the means and resources to enjoy what many once took for granted, culturally and in the home.
