We're shopping....

We sold while we were still in our San Francisco home.

Now we have the money to offer cash for a 'new' home in Santa Fe.

But, the wife is picky and Santa Fe is a popular location without much inventory at the moment.

$3000 a sq. ft. is not an unusual selling price for homes in the 'mid peninsula' area around Woodside, CA where folks like Oracle founder Larry Ellison live. Used to bike by his place on Mountain Home Road a couple times a week wishing I could afford to live in the area.
