But it was only a 1,600 sq ft. home, so no $3 Million for Ivan. :-(
And GWB's 15% capital gains tax is but a memory, so a lot goes to both the Feds and the State of California, which considers capital gains as regular income. :-(
But I've been skating of taxes for quite some time, what with the favorable tax treatment of capital gains under Bush and having most of my retirement in ROTH IRA's, so it's my turn.
As for new home, we're currently living in a 'pet friendly' Residence Inn trying to find a home that suits the wife.
No easy task, that. =:-0
