That's correct. As long as it wasn't a winner in previous years and had a
qualifying review in the appropriate time period, it can be a contender.

What I find interesting is that the DeVore Orangutan O/96 has remained
unchanged in production for 6 years, which makes it a relative rarity in
an audio market that concentrates on the new. But that longevity has also
allowed pretty much every member of Stereophile's team to have had
experience of the speaker in that time.
