Anyone ever check out how "flat" or accurate the RIAA networks are in the RECORD CUTTING ELECTRONICS?

In phono preamp reviews, I always get a kick out of John's graphs showing "deviation from flat" de-emphasis / response with a X axis scales of 0.1 dB. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of records are cut with errors orders of magnitude worse than the preamps trying to faithfully? reproduce them.
