Uh, right. I've been to more than my share of shows and have never seen this. Maybe if the room is packed and they plan on coming back? The main thing I see is people who do more talking about the system than actually listening to it. Objective speak? Personally I am trying to listen to the music. If a component catches my ear, I'll have a closer look at the faceplate. The most under rated stuff that I've heard is the stuff by Klaus, the German manufacturer. Good stuff, good price and value. The worst an entire Jadis system with those Yosemity Sam looking speakers. Never have I seen a room full of people so out of touch with what sounds good as to worship those crappy sounding speakers. You could hear the sounds go from driver to driver. I was > 8 feet back and in the centre (for bjh). The ragged grain of the system was horrid. Obviously the subjectivists present were able to hear past the grunge to hear the religious experience that lied beneath.
