Re: How else could anyone buy wires?

Hold up! Here's what John Atkinson wrote explicitly to you:

"... as I said in another posting, I have taken part in over
100 formal blind listening tests. Many of those tests produced null
results. But my results also have shown that I could distinguish a)
absolute polarity, b) different capacitor dielectrics, c) an
interconnect with the ground-shield connection made at one end from
the other, d) a solid-state amp from a tube amp, e) many different
phono cartridges, e) many different speakers, including correctly
identifying a speaker model under blind conditions from my previous
experience of it."

Don't you think that hearing a difference beetween "an
interconnect with the ground-shield connection made at one end from
the other" in a blind listening test is equal to, if not greater than, the challenge of hearing "differences when wire brand names are hidden and they play music at exactly the same volumes"?

Of course you don't, because you *believe* no such differences are possible!, and hence that's why you classified those difference detected tests of JA's as essentially flukes, expected statistical anomolies, or something like that.

Ah huh, discard the results that don't support your dogma, very credible!
