To each is own. Capaldi does absolutely nothing for me. Not really a big fan of Sarah or Diana either even though I have a couple of the latter's albums.
Another voice I enjoy is that of the (late) Dolores O'Riordan. While I found her sometimes hard to understand in an interview, her singing voice is very clear, decidedly distinctive and clearly Irish. I loved it from the first time I heard it. For me, the sound either clicks or it doesn't - for whatever reasons.
