RE: Guy's like Phelan

Actually I don't understand why you could not reference Katy Perry or any other piece of music - on a good system you should still be able to 1) enjoy mainstream pop music sonically and 2) be able to delineate differences between systems.

Gwen Stefani's You're My Favorite in 44/24 is refreshingly open sounding, punchy and has good vocal articulation. I would say the same of Katy's Bon Appetit among some other tracks on that album.

Call me old school, but they lack an important quality to me - dynamic range. Not at the "melt your eardrum" end of the spectrum, but lacks the emotion I find by providing contrasts at the low end. Which is a character I find very important when evaluating gear. Why waste time by not using content (of which plenty exists) that fully exercises all aspects of sonic character?

I recently upgraded the power supply feeding the ultraRendu streamer and will soon be posting my comments on the Computer Asylum which will include mentioning a couple of pieces that illustrate the improvements I find.

As for the video, I fall into the meh category. Lewis needs voice lessons.
