" listen to jazz/rock/r&b/pop/latin "

I do listen to Blues, R&R, and Jazz, and atiny bit of Pop. eg. Abba!

And I was born in 1950, so it's a given. I just don't base my system choices on such recordings.

I was introduced to high fidelity, while learning to do live acoustic music in a large reverberant space.

Listening to recordings made by our 'Auntie ABC' engineers using a permanently installed single-capsule crossed-pair mike, hanging just into the nave above and forward of they sanctuary steps. Big built-in corner-reflex enclosures with Tannoy DC and large woofers. And I'm imprinted on that experience.

All of that covered here at AA, more than once, so you haven't really been paying attention.

JBTWay I have posted on the fact of my recording collection being around 40% of the stuff you believe I just hate.

Some of it, like the Verve LPs of Ella et al, are proper simple stereo recordings.

Some come with a quirk! ? In one polarity Ella is crisp and the orchestra not so. And t'other way around Ella's throat, head and chest not quite so wonderful.

I am deeply interested in music making, especially singing, and I know full well that most of what you say love, must and does damage music making, interplay, timing, et al.

From a bit to a whole lot. I can hear it. And, I know why.

So, there it is.

Warmest
