Yes; they were close enough (according to Klipsch) to the corner/wall.
Despite Klipsch' efforts to make the AK6 compatible with more rooms, and cryptic wording about being in the proximity of a corner, I still think they would be at their best in the corners. Klipsch knows this.
Another thing that troubled me about the speaker (not the quality of the review) was the impedance/phase measurements. Yikes. "8 Ohms Compatible" my fanny.
