RE: Quite simple if high resolution digital didn't exist I would be "analog-only"

It's not just reviewers - the list above also includes engineers - darn good ones I might add. And this was just a quick check - I no doubt heard many others say that CD was great. This includes Michael Fremer and Jon Valin - who have put Red Book right up there with their cherished (and very expensive) record players. Read their reviews (or blogs) of Zanden and Soulution.

Again, Teresa is the only reviewer with these (bizzare) CD beliefs. The specs don't lie - negligible distortion, dynamic range that goes beyond a large orchestra and sampling that exceeds human hearing. There is nothing wrong with CD - as long as it was sourced from 20 bit/higher sample masters. And all *have been* since the early 1990s.

But even transfers from analog recordings must be great if die hard vinyl-philes are listening to a (lot) of Red Book, like Fremer.

With everyone saying that CD sounds very good, if not state-of-the-art, I'll leave it up to her to ruin her reputation. If she hasn't done that already.
