your experience with turntables is ALSO vastly limited ...

never mind you misunderstanding of digital!

> > Also while a $500 turntable doesn't sound as good as a $5,000 turntable, a $500 turntable sounds excellent and gets the timbre right and is enjoyable to play music through. Even entry-level equipment in every other format except CD and 16/44.1kHz PCM sounds excellent and once again it gets better as one goes up the price range. Yet the same cannot be said of CD it sounds terrible at any price range. < <

This is just another stupid comment which proves that you do not have the necessary experience to be a "reviewer".

The vast majority of $500 turntable don't get timbre correct, especially at or near the frequency extremes during and approaching peak periods. Furthermore, given the proper software, a good $5K CDP will blow away any $500 'table in regard to consistent timbre ... with relative ease.

And Teresa, please remember this ... unlike you, I was an experienced card-carrying analog luving audiophile during CDs inception, and in response to how sucky it sounded back then ... I hazed 16/44 inferior sound quality on nearly every opportunity ... prior to 1999.

So ... while we both believe that analog remains superior to digital, the difference between us is that while you arrived at your SIMPLISTIC beliefs based on simple generalization with a very limited set of audio experiences(*) ... in contrast ... I've based my knowledge on hands-on knowledge & experience.

(* note: what many people here don't comprehend is that you're just as clued about analog as you are digital. Contrary to you're idolized pro-analog portrayal, your overall knowledge of turntables as a whole is vastly limited. In fact, based on your many incoherent rants about analog in the past, it's obvious that you don't comprehend and/or understand the inner workings of a turntable - as it pertains to overall sound quality - from a $500 turntable to a $5,000 'table onward)

Teresa, you are about the least qualified "reviewer" I've ever not read!
