What's wrong with EQ & Tone Controls? Don't you read REG in TAS?

Robert E. Greene never met a DSP he didn't like, unless it was unplugged or broken...
And he's been writing for the Absolute Joke since the '70s.
Do you know what that means?
Clearly Harry Pearson must have agreed with Dr. Greene's ideas that frequency response and speaker dispersion behaviour are ALL there is to great sound, or else he would have gotten rid of him, just like he got rid of...well, OK, he never DID get rid of any of his writers, no matter how deaf or stupid (or both) they were (and still are).
But he doesn't actually edit or publish the magazine anymore, that torch got passed along to some goof named Tom Martin, who REALLY cleaned house!
They have a new...editor! ...and....everything!
Why...they even have the mail-boy writing for them now (Neil Gader)!
And...and...Tom Martin's last bankrupt hi-fi magazine, "Fi", provided him with the ability to transfer some truly great talent from THAT magazine!
Say hello to golden-ear Wayne Garcia, who never saw a faceplate he didn't think sounded FANF***ingtastic, either!
As a great personal friend of Harry's, Dr. Greene's opinions were undoubtedly shared by the OTHER great & powerful audio Oz, HP. I'm SURE that HP must have had a 10-band graphic EQ (Marantz, of course!) hooked up to his ARC SP-11 through the tape monitor loops to listen to his Infinity IRS...how else could you have gotten a remotely flat response out of them otherwise?
Sheesh! carcass93, you don't know ANYTHING about really good audio, do you???
