RE: I like LPs, Reel to Reel tapes, SACD, DVD-Audios and high resolution downloads.

OK, how do we recap here?

At one time you had a Xindak SACD/CD player, and you liked how it sounded with CDs because it had toobz. And everything was glorious.

Then you sold all of your SACDS and your Xindak.

Then you sold all of your LPs, your turntable and your RTR deck.

Then you bought another SACD player.

Then you sold your SACD player, but you ripped your music collection to your PC, and sold all the discs again. Just a reminder: when you sell the physical media, you lose the right to have the files you ripped on your computer. Hopefully, you're not pirating music.

And you prefer to listen to music with less than a full set of clothing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but now you're writing reviews about PC audio software and how to use software to tell what sample rate/bit depth you're listening to. One would think that your long-suffering ears could tell what you're listening to without fancy graphs, but...

You consistently refer to bit depth as "bit rate", which is really a better descriptor of MP3s.

Color me confused, yet fascinated. Kind of like watching locomotive collisions on YouTube...

Oh, and back to the less-than-fully-clothed listening thing. That's totally cool. And I mean it - We re-enact Flintstones episodes sometimes here with loincloths and such. When I say, "Yabba-Yabba-Do!" I really mean it!
