Sorry your theory doesn't hold water...

"if you "think" that visiting & listening to equipment at some highly compromised shows constitutes any form of true hi-end "experience" ... well ... you're obviously delusional."

How do you explain the fact that the Tape Project's 2 Track 15 ips reel to reel master tape copies, audiophile LPs and SACDs sounded fantastic at both CES and T.H.E. Show and CDs sounded bad? Are you now going to tell me there is a conspiricy against CD to make it sound bad versus every other format?

Also while a $500 turntable doesn't sound as good as a $5,000 turntable, a $500 turntable sounds excellent and gets the timbre right and is enjoyable to play music through. Even entry-level equipment in every other format except CD and 16/44.1kHz PCM sounds excellent and once again it gets better as one goes up the price range. Yet the same cannot be said of CD it sounds terrible at any price range.

As I said before if you can listen around CD's deficiencies I am happy for you.
