I like LPs, Reel to Reel tapes, SACD, DVD-Audios and high resolution downloads.

I just don't enjoy music from CDs, and 16/44.1kHz PCM, to me it sounds offensive and unlistenable, whither from a $500 player or a $15,000 player. I refuse to listen to low resolution PCM, and many others do as well.

Here are a couple of quotes:

"To me DSD sounds, what I call, "ear friendly", you know the slight pain you get in the ear when listening to the harsh or glaring sound from some digital. With DSD you get none of this and can hear around the individual instruments, not just the front."
Tom Jung, DMP (Digital Music Products)

"I've now been over a year with SACD, and have experienced the following: After many years absent, I now sit again in my living room just to listen to music (!) as opposed to listening only in the car or ipod in the plane. I refuse CD's - I don't buy them - I don't play them anymore, I find the sound irritating..."
Michelten

There are many more in the links below.

I will never cave in to listening to or saying that CD OK is to be politically correct because it is NOT! If you can enjoy CD that is fine by me, but don't push your low resolution religion on others!
