RE: Yet another rave review for cables that fit Trump's budget made me wonder........

1. You've got to take any online reviewer's comments with a huge grain of salt. The huge majority of these folks are wanabees and amateurs. There are no Pearsons or Holts among them.

2. The standards of online publications vary from mediocre to non-existent. Unlike reputable print or other mainstream journalism, there is all too often a dubious line between advertisers and "reviewers".

3. It's incredibly easy to review a megabuck component. They pretty much all, barring some really drastic failure, have many outstanding qualities - some superlative qualities. THose reviews are quite meaningless though, without some context. As in, relative to what - and realtive to what at a price point. The review you reference is devoid of context.

Some of these amateur reviewers just like to see themselves using gushing, florid language in print to convince themselves that they can write. When they can't, really.
