RE: Salvatore is the BEST

I don't trust Valin's work either. Nor do I trust the work of any of the reviewers on TAS, Stereophile, 6Loons, SoundStage, HF+ or HFN. Nor do I trust Salvatore, The Audio Critic or any of them. Anywhere.

They don't have my ears, my tastes and my music collection. And I don't know if they have my interests in mind.

And yet I use reviews as a series of preliminary tests to see if something is worth knowing about.

What I can't stand is the blind acceptance of the say-so of anyone, no matter how 'truthful' they seem or how close their tastes seem to follow your own. And this whole 'let's praise Salvatore' thing going on here strikes me as blind acceptance.

Like any demigod, he has feet of clay.
