How about some DBTs?

Well, it would seem that the younger Mr. Ricker couldn't tell the difference between the mic feed and the output of the Soundstream recorder. I'm just pointing out that Ricker's auditions were all sighted auditions and that they differ from one another--a point to subtle for E-stat to notice.

Apparently there have been some DBTs done and they have not been, shall we say, very positive. And apparently Sony felt that for demonstration purposes, they had to tweak the SACD recording by adding a little reverb to make it sound different from the CD version. This was reported in Audio magazine a few years ago. My sources tell me the article is: Edward J. Foster, "Evolutionary or Super Audio Revolutionary? Audio, Nov 1999, page 40-47. I should try to get a copy.

Anybody got any good evidence that SACD is a superior format to CD?
